the winery's commitment to excellence originates in their own hillside vineyards
Zinfandel is notoriously difficult to grow
as the wine is full of crunchy and refreshing fresh fruit
Appearance: pale gold with aniseed-coloured highlights
it has three individual soil types across a three-sided cirque (an amphitheatre-like valley head) that rises above the other vineyards
Darroze 1991 Rieston GBA 49% 700ml g1 the winery's commitment to excellenceProduced from fruit sourced from Deyres Jean Luc's property in the village of Perquie, this 100% Baco Armagnac was also distilled by the grower. Matured in local oak and bottled in 2021, Darroze describe it as subtly woody, with notes of vanilla and sweet liquorice, candied fruit, apricot, quince jam, dried fruits, toasted almonds and balsamic. The finish is silky and long. Like the rest of Darroze's 'Unique Collection', it's bottled undiluted. 49%
