It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Calon Segur's 1989 vintage is particularly successful. It has a very beautiful ruby colour with hints of grey and an elegant and refined bouquet of ripe fruit with woody notes and a hint of anise.
