The tea leaves are grown at high altitude, picked, cleaned and steamed immediately after harvest, after which they are dried and dark roasted (Fukairi) at a high temperature, which gives the tea a low caffeine content. Slightly sweet taste with deep notes of nut, hints of toast and well balanced umami.
